Derived from the fruit of the karite tree, Shea Nut oil is a byproduct of the process of making shea butter. This is a rich, thick, yellow oil that is highly moisturizing because of it's high levels of vitamin E, anti-oxidants, fatty acids, and vitamin A. A very absorbent oil, it nourishes the skin from the inside, leaving it soft, smooth, and youthful. With consistent use, it can help to heal dry, cracked, and damaged skin. Use alone right out of the shower when pores are open for enhanced absorption. I especially love it in hair care, and have found it to be an amazing natural, environmentally friendly substitute for silicone in hair conditioner. It can help with dry scalp and dandruff, and allows the hair to shine.
