Bergamot has a citrusy top note with hints of sweet, soft florals, as well as peppery and herbaceous notes. Bergamot can be used topically to aid in digestive discomfort and to reduce stress and anxiety, and for relief of muscle tension, inhaled for respiratory and immune system support, and diffused to relieve stress and anxiety for better mental health and well-being.
Safety: Pure Bergamot is considered phototoxic, and should be avoided on the skin before spending time in the sun. Serious skin burning and damage can occur. It can be safely used at a ratio of no more that 0.4%, or 1-2 drops per 1 ounce of carrier.
